Community Researcher Scheme
Our Workshops
We design and deliver fully bespoke workshops tailored to each specific subject area, ensuring that community researchers are well-equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to engage effectively. Each workshop covers key traits and characteristics of the topic, essential information, and practical insights into the cohort being studied—so researchers feel prepared, informed, and empowered to contribute meaningfully.
Building Trust
Trust is at the heart of what we do. We implement an approachable, person-centred model that focuses on building authentic connections within communities. This enables our community researchers to navigate and access traditionally hard-to-reach groups, breaking down barriers and opening the door to meaningful dialogue, participation, and impact.
Data Collection Excellence
Through our proven implementation framework, we train researchers to collect high-quality, reliable data. We place a strong emphasis on understanding the difference between insightful, actionable data and poor or misleading intelligence. This ensures every project is driven by robust evidence that can inform real change.
Tailored Methodology
No two projects are the same, which is why we co-create bespoke methodological approaches that are tailored to each initiative. Our accessible systems are built on the foundation of our tried-and-tested impact model theory, ensuring every project benefits from a strong, evidence-based framework that drives meaningful results.
Sustainable Behaviour Change
Our approach to behaviour change is grounded in evidence and practicality. We provide hands-on training that helps researchers understand the principles behind behaviour change, how to apply them in real-world settings, and—critically—how to support individuals and communities in maintaining positive, long-term changes.
Implementation Science in Practice
We bring implementation science to life by applying our flexible model of practice to suit any setting or objective. Our training empowers researchers to understand and utilise our impact model—giving them the tools to collect, analyse, and implement data effectively, ensuring outcomes are not only measured but meaningfully applied.
Breast Feeding Community research programme example scheme
Empowering Communities Through Insight: Breastfeeding Support Research Programme
This programme was strategically developed to train and empower two community researchers from within the target population, equipping them with the skills and tools to lead a focused data collection initiative. Their mission: to explore and uncover the real-world impact, challenges, and unmet needs surrounding breastfeeding support services within minority communities.
By working at the grassroots level, these researchers gathered critical insights into the barriers women face when accessing breastfeeding clinics, as well as the demand for culturally sensitive support and guidance. Their findings are now helping to inform more inclusive, accessible, and effective support pathways—ensuring that every woman, regardless of background, receives the care and encouragement she needs.
